history

The history of PMF wil go back to the year 1854. In this year, the company was founded in the small village Oude Pekela. This company was manufacturing ship parts. The name PMF means 'Pekelder Machine Fabriek'. The logo of PMF shows the old sign of the community of Oude Pekela.

pekela in vroegere tijdenAfter decades, the management started a second company in the village Uithuizen. Later, they closed the main office in Oude Pekela en all activities were concerned in Uithuizen. In 1981, the PMF company acquired Machinefabriek Roodeschool. In 1986, Schot lighing poles in Veendam was acquired. In 1997, the PMF Group became the owner of the pole factory of Nederland Haarlem in Burgum.

In 2004, the plant in Roodeschool moved to an attractive building in Delfzijl. The name Machinefabriek Roodeschool changed on that moment to P.M.F. Machinefabriek Delfzijl B.V. The activities of the plants in Uithuizen en Delfzijl are manufacturing of steel constructions, design and manufacturing of installations, machinery, pipe lines, conveyors, bridges and maintenance.

In december 2007, we acquired CASO Beleuchtungsmasten GmbH in Dortmund (Germany). The CASO company manufactures steel lighting poles and bollards. The factory restarted from 1st January 2008 under the name CASO Beleuchtungsmasten Deutschland GmbH. The product assortment and the facility location will be unchanged.

actual situation
The plants in Burgum, Veendam and Dortmund are designing and manufacturing steel poles for public lighting, traffic signaling, road signing, camera observation systems an OCS electrification (tram and trolley). With the two advanced forming machineries, in both plants will be produced conical tubes (seamless drawn) and 'special tubes'.
