For
this purpose, we have available a wide assortment:
- post columns
- overhead traffic signal poles
- portals, made from round tubes
- portals, made from squared tubes
- poles for public lighting, traffic signaling and road signing
- small devices for mounting the traffic light luminaires
All poles
for traffic signaling will be calculated on strengthness, where we check
the maximum stress, torsion and maximum deflection. All
portals with a beam length of minimal 21 meter will be split up in two
parts (connected by two plates with bolds) due to the length of the
zinc bath. We can supply the portals with a beam length of 44 meters.
If requested, all portals can be supplied with brackets for public lighting
and or fixtures for road signing. All
small devices for mounting the traffic light luminiares can be delivered
with the poles and portals .

For
corrosion protection, it is standard to galvanise the poles according
to the norm EN ISO 1461. If requested we can supply a painting or a
powder coating on the poles in the specified colors. The poles for traffic
signaling, which will be used in our country, will be painted normally
in the color RAL 7032, where we add black and white stripes on the pillars
till a height of 2,2 meter above ground level. On ground level, we will
add a polyester corrosion protector.

Our
client specified for this location a portal with the lattice
construction with a beam length of 28 meter. The pillars of
this portal are hot dip galvanised according to EN ISO 1461
and supplied with powder coating (2 layers) in RAL 9005. The
pillars were also provided with black and white stripes till
a height of 2,2 meter above ground level. The beam was only
supplied with a powder coating (2 layers).

Our client choose for this location for a Z-portal, where are
four pillars and three beams (17 + 29 + 16 meter). The advantage
of this construction is the reduction of the quantity of pillars.
The total construction was hot dip galvanised according to EN
ISO 1461 and later on supplied with a painting in the color RAL
7032. The
pillars were also provided with black and white stripes till a
height of 2,2 meter above ground level. At ground level, we supplied
a polyester corrosion protector.

The road authority decided to replace the current road way signaling
for a complete new system. In a very small period, the main contractor
had to replace the portal, cables, dynamic LED-panels, traffic
light luminaires, lighting poles, etc. PMF received the order
for supplying new portals and lighting poles.
One of the requirements of the road autority was that the new
portals must be mounted on the 'old' anchors; the job for measuring
the length of the beams and pillars was executed with more than
normal effort. We fulfilled this, while all vehicles could drive
on. The delivery of the portals and the poles was successful because
of the good and constructive way of communication with the main
contractor and the road authority.
