General Specifications for Supporting Structures used in Traffic Control Systems (ASOV 2010)

Posted on: 10-01-2014

A robust and reliable traffic control system starts with a set of carefully prepared regulation programs and a well-defined set of supply specifications for the required materials and execution of work.

ASOV_2010

In recent years, many supply specifications contained a reference to the provisions set out in the generally applicable Dutch Traffic Control Systems Requirements 1997 (Eisen Verkeersregelinstallaties 1997) or Section 35 of the RAW Standard Conditions. These general requirements are nevertheless incomplete and not without flaws in terms of material specifications for lamp posts and portals. Due to the lack of national and international product standards for such supporting structures, preparing a comprehensive specification for materials is far from easy. Three different manufacturers have drafted a document containing the general specifications for such posts, cross-bar combinations and portals.

Visit the website www.verkeersregelinstallatie.nl and submit your e-mail address there. The document will be sent to you by return e-mail. After you have filled in your e-mail address, you will automatically receive information on alterations and additions.
