We are regularly asked whether hot dip galvanizing is a good preservation method and whether it is sustainable in view of zinc emissions. The Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) recently conducted a research from which it appears that zinc emissions pose no threat to people or the environment.
